Sonam Kapoor To Karan Johar: 1st Year Of Marriage Is Full Of Adjustments, Please Advice!

Love guru Karan Johar has come up with the second season of Calling Karan to solve issues that people go through in their love lives. Not only to normal people, Karan has given suggestions to a few of his celeb friends too, who call him during a special segment in the show. This time the celeb who called him was Sonam Kapoor Ahuja. Veere Di Wedding actress called KJo to seek marriage advice from him and asked that the first year of marriage is full of adjustments, what advice would he give her.

Answering to same, Johar said, “Not that I am a marital expert Sonam! Adjustments are critical, because practically being husband and wife, living together, you get privy to all the habits that your partner has that sometime may not be in conjunction with yours. So the first thing, I really wanna tell you is patience. You’ve got to patiently understand what your partner’s habits are. For example, which side of the bed he normally life to sleep on, or his bathroom timings, which many not coincide with yours, or his watching television or Netflix habits? It could be anything that may not be in conjunction. First, understand the schedule, routine habits, and then if something really khatkos, then try and talk about it. But not definitely in the first year, you don’t want to come out so strong and cause road blocks, initially.”

He continued saying, “Phele Samjho, phir apnao, uske baad nibhao nahi samjhao”

Yesterday, we reported how Karan had an interesting take on why one shouldn’t call any two kids, brother and sister, or two elderly people, uncle and aunty. In his previous episode, he had said, “When a guy and girl are together, they immediately ask us to call each other brother sister. If you meet any elderly person too, you have to call them aunty uncle. But they are definitely not.”

Karan further claimed, “See, I have two kids, I want to tell you, so when someone comes, like when Taimur comes home, the nurses start saying (to Roohi) to call Taimur brother. But why? Maybe 20 years later, Taimur wants to be with Roohi. Anything can happen 20 years later. Why are we blocking those routes right now?” Coming back to KJo’s advice for Sonam, looks like Karan is a pro at it.
